On a Skin Care Forum that I moderate, this question stopped me in my tracks: If a person has no sense of smell, will aromatherapy still be effective? How would dilute EO applied to the skin work? I am no where near technically qualified to answer that question but I find it intriguing. In the foroum, several people have posted both yesses and no's and they are no more qualified than I am so I turn to the Guru's!! Thanking all in advance ... Well Jody you're right... what an intriguing question. Let me point out that I am no more qualified than you – not a Guru & #61516; . I have an opinion to share and that is it. As an energy healer, my understanding of the world around us is that it is all energetic vibrations. Although EOs have a scent, it is not the scent that heals. It is the energetic vibration of the EO that is healing. On that note (pun intended) the energetic vibration of the EO is not effected by a persons ability to smell. Will an orange still be an orange even if I can't see it? It is with this belief that I wrap colors around people when I'm working on them (if I feel called to). They can't see them so do they work? Can a deaf person benefit from sound healing? If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it make a sound? I don't know, but I can guarantee there is an energetic vibration present. So if looking at this question through my eyes the answer is a resounding YES. I keep struggling with boundaries in the area of quantum physics on this and am erasing paragraphs and lines consistently. If you are havingtrouble following the thoughts that may be why. That must mean it's time to close. I hope this helped you to some degree and am interrested in your thoughts on the matter and reasonings as well.
