Guest guest
Hi Chris, Excellent info on Red Clover. Thanks for sharing it! This is a powerful phytoestrogen and can be so helpful to women in menopause and post. However, if you're still in perimenopause, (the years just prior to actual menopause) I just want to encourage you to be very careful when using this or any other phytoestrogen. Unfortunately, the medical industry makes blanket statements about hormonal imbalances rather than taking into consideration whether the symptoms a woman is experiencing are those of estrogen dominance or estrogen deficiency. So, you can use a phytoestrogen like Red Clover (soy products, dong quai, etc.) thinking they will be helpful, when really they can do more harm than good. Estrogen dominance symptoms send many women to the doctor well before they think they're at the perimenopause age. This often results in unnecessary surgical proceedures and prescription drugs. Please, don't use Red Clover if you're using any of the following medications: Estrogens Heparin Ticlopidine Warfarin I'm offering complimentary symptoms evaluations to determine estrogen dominance or deficiency. Just write to: evaluation. All the best, Michelle http://www.holisticmenopause.com
