Guest guest Posted March 21, 2005 Report Share Posted March 21, 2005 Barbara, So sorry to hear about your brother As one who has had to have 3 back surgeries in 3 years, I know all too well about back pain. Interestingly enough, I too made the mistake of choosing a quack the first & second time too! To top that off, he too left bone fragments and a big chunk of disc behind on the 1st surgery......which led to the 2nd surgery 5 weeks later. No other Dr would even see me, it was a terrible feeling. I can say that I would NEVER let an Orthopedic surgeon cut on me again when it comes to my back! They simply don't know enough about all of the very important nerves that are back there.....my left leg is still numb from the knee down, and was able to get a Neurosurgeon to admit that it was caused by the Ortho having my nerve retracted for too long during surgery. If your brother hasn't seen a Neuro, I would highly recommend it! I tried all kinds of drugs for the nerve pain, none of them did much good I do manage by using the Sports Rub that I make...with MSM. He might try taking the powder straight for a bit, that seemed to help me as well. If your experienced with Reiki, that helps as well. Keep up those prayers as well, they do work miracles. Hang in there and tell him to do the same!
