Guest guest
I've determined that we need to add those plastic heat seal sleeves to a product. Is the heat tool, the embosser like you'd find at Michaels the same thing as a heat tool to shrink those plastic sleeves? What's a good source for the plastic sleeves? And the tool? All replies appreciated! Judy
Guest guest
I just bought some 2 inch shrink wrap tubing for my product line. Although I have to cut my own, it's a great deal (less than one penny per piece) - this company has fantastic prices. Also, since I live in their 1 day delivery zone, I got it the very next day. How's that for service? http://www.associatedbag.com Standard disclaimers apply, I'm just a happy customer! Guest guest
I know a lady that sells an 8 " sealer with cutter for $65.00 and it works really well. You can find her at: http://www.herbalaccents.com/packagingsupplies.htm I got a heat gun for $29 at Home Depot that I use with my shrink wrap. I just cut my bags with some scissors and use the gun. Guest guest
I also have a question regarding this.... If you are using a bag, what is the best way to seal up the open end so it shrinks evenly? Judy, I use the sleeves on many products, and you can shrink them by using a hair dryer, or the heat tool you mentioned. Though I have melted a couple using the heat tool, just need to be careful. Guest guest
I bought an 8 inch impulse sealer on eBay and only paid $30 for it, including shipping. It is the exact same one that Harbor Freight sells. I think I'll break down and get one, but on ebay, are they the ones that are $29.99? He has the shipping at $15. Or is this a different person? Guest guest
I've had mine a couple of years. Look at all the ones on eBay before you start bidding because sometimes you can get them real cheap. I'll look and see if I can find the name of the person I got mine from. Guest guest
Looks like the guy I bought mine from isn't on eBay anymore But there are quite a few sealers up for bids with low bids on them now.
