I was sooo pleased - bought a really nice lemon tree from Costco's. Brought

it in the house when it got too cold at night, back outside when it warmed

up. Put it in a nice big mobile home & it thrived. Nice blooms & oh my, did

it smell nice (sure wanted to get that scent into a soap). The bees were

happy, visited quite often & then there were those cute little baby lemons

starting.

I go & check on it today & I can't find any of my baby lemons!!! Gone,

without a trace, all that is left is a stub where the lemon was supposed to

be. Who/what is the culprit!!??? I know it is not Spotty the horse, he can't

get to it (learned my lesson with the peaches so I didn't trust him with the

lemons - weirdo), sure the dogs didn't do it, cat wouldn't, Polly the possum

could have, as also the birds & I haven't really seen any bugs. Anyone have

any ideas?

At the end of the stem where it joined the fruit, it rounded or does it have a

sharp, clean 'break' look to it ? If it doesn't have the 'clean break' look to

it, it fell of naturally - many things could cause it - not enough water, too

much water, a sudden change in temp (doesn't have to be frosted for the fruit to

drop), moving it inside or out side, or even a different part of the same yard

can cause the plant to go into shock and drop it's fruit, etc.....
