Hey, did you kids get a house up here in good old Oregon ? I havent heard

anything yet. If so, tell me where and what it is like. If not, keep on

Hi there Jenn,

The saga continues & it is driving me crazy!!!! We are supposed to

close on a place on Fri, 25th but another monkey is throwing in a HUGE wrench

in

there yet again!! All of this for the junkiest place on the river (can you

say " this place makes Sanford & Sons look like the Rockefellers " . But she has

Beautiful bones, not fancy but she will be oh so nice & cozy in her new

corset when & if we get the chance to move in*S*). But I love the place that

I

have pictured in my mind if we get it - quiet, serene, peaceful & homey.

Ok, garden - not - between the horse, birds & dogs I have given up. The

horse eats the peaches, berries, & grapes. He has left the mints alone.

The dogs love to pick the berries but will leave the peaches alone. And then

of course, we won't even talk about life getting in the way *S*

I made the horrible mistake of showing my DH a Raintree Nursery catalog

(fantastic place - excellent products & service) - he's planted, in his mind,

every apple tree you can imagine (can't take the Michigan out of that boy) &

has informed me he will be buying a cider press so I better get busy

learning how to make cider (there will be hot doughnuts to go with this like

they do

at the cider mills in MI), applesauce, butters & on & on~~~ He's already

planted all the trees on the property that we haven't closed on yet - looks

good in his mind I am sure.

God Bless You & Yours,

Georgia (hahagranny)

that take our breath away~~~

hey Georgia, Don't let him leave out " Northern Spy " Apple trees. Lovely

hard, old fashioned apples, great for cooking, a nice TART eating apple.

I'm hoping to get a couple of those tree's when WE move.

Cheers!

Georgiagranny :D

I have one of them Michigan boys--moved here to marry him, no less.

You can't take that " You better learn to " out of them until you

carefully explain to them that they're perfectly capable of making

cider them damn selves. Mine decided I was making all our bread

once--until he spent a day home with me when I had a full day of

soaping planned, then crawled to our bed with a back that said, " I

don' theeenk so "

HE makes the bread.
