I am glad to hear this .. and it is a fabulous EO .. really it is. > I am going to read the articles you suggested today before I carry on > any further with my e-class. Good show. >>Your son might do better avoiding the hot compresses with ANY essential >>oil .. and going with a safe dilution of ..... > > Should I be mixing with a carrier oil (I have sweet almond & jojoba) and > massaging it into the muscle instead? Using a carrier is better .. safer .. and not less effective .. though I'd recommend Fractionated Coconut for a massage .. Rose Hip Seed for just an application. > He has always used hot pads as he says it relaxes the muscle. Probably does relax the muscle but its the heat doing this .. not the EO. The moist heat also can help to force some unwanted EO molecules to absorb .. the issue of absorption is about as misunderstood as much of the other incorrect information put out in AT. And .. safe levels of dilution .. this is very critical as we can expose ourselves and others to irritation .. and much worse .. sensitization .. if we are shooting in the dark. Martin Watt's " Plant Aromatics " is THE Safety Manual that anyone messing with EO for dermal application should have as a desk side reference .. without it we are just playing Russian Roulette. The old edition of " Plant Aromatics " was $75 .. I published the new, revised edition and offer it for $44.90 .. it can be seen and ordered at URL http://www.av-at.com/plantaromaticsavnp.html The revised edition is now in the Fourth Printing. I am the exclusive and sole source for North and South America. > Thanks again, I truly appreciate the information you shared! My pleasure it was and being appreciated is appreciated. ;-) > ~Michelle~ Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
