Guest guest
I had a question about using Rosemary. I learned that Rosemary can not be used with people that have high blood pressure as it is a stimulant. (also 1st 4m of pregnancy & epilepsy) My daughter has a heart condition and I am assuming high blood pressure is part in parcel. My oldest son has found that a hot compress with rosemary and lavender is very helpful to his strained/sore muscles when he is injured in hockey. My question is... Is it harmful for my daughter to be in the house when I am using the rosemary as she would be inhaling the rosemary in the air from the bowl of hot water and rosemary I use with the compress? Thanks in advance ) ~Michelle~
Guest guest
Hi Michelle I'm so glad you asked this questions. It is very important we clear up one of the most widely spread, and ill conceived AT rumors! Butch passed along a bunch of really good info about the Rosemary .. but I wanted to add one more thing ... I've you've already told your daughter that " rosemary can increase BP " then of course it may well do that simply by autosuggestion, in which case she should not be exposed to it. Lastly I'll pass along the words (in quotes) of our favorite Grumpy Old Troll of Aromatherapy (a.k.a. Martin Watt " What a shame though that these damned trade fairy tales prevent people from using the oils to heal real problems.
