Guest guest
Hey y'all! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now and finally have a question! I'd like to make some black walnut salve but can only find powdered black walnut hulls or a tincture with an alcohol/water base. I'm staying away from the tincture - I believe the water can lead to it spoiling? - but have no idea how much of the powdered hulls to add to the oil for the salve. 1/3 cup seems way too much for 16 oz of oil! Guest guest
Hi Stace, Making your own infused oil would be wonderful for the salve 1/3 cup of herb to 16 oz of oil is just fine. There is a wonderful article in the group's file section http://finance. called Making Herbal Preparations. If you need any more ideas on making your infusion or salve, just give a holler. Lots of folks here make infused oils and salves. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com WyntersMoon [WyntersMoon] Hey y'all!
