Guest guest
Hows does my garden grow?? -- that is going to be a very good question. Our snow is starting to " recede " (kinda like my SO's hair line LOL) And there is actually a hint of green grass on the top of the septic tank LOL. And thats the only place. Some of the birds are starting to return and the deer and elk have started to head for higher ground. I do have a question about what I hope to be my garden. As some of you remember we moved to the mountains last summer and last week we bought a house. We are in growing area 3 but could be 4 on a warm winter. It is also somewhat arid here and then there is the wild life -- deer and rabbits etc. I found lavender to grow well at a lower elevation (we are at 8,000ft) and same with rosemary. I'm pretty sure anything I plant will have to be in a wire cage to keep some of the critters out. Anyone have any suggestion on keeping the deer out of my herb garden or are there some plants that they like less that I can plant around to keep them at bay? The previous owner planted tulips but the rabbits dug them up. Happy planting Rita
