Guest guest
Just did up a brown sugar scrub that was wonderful. Chris, the Muscovado Brown Sugar that I got from you combined with the Virgin coconut oil, that I got from you also, created a incredible eatable scrub. Wanted to share that and the recipe so others can experience the delight of this scrub. This makes a one time use. 1 Tbls Muscovado Brown Sugar 1/2 Tbls Virgin Coconut oil 1/4 tea vegetable glycerine 1/4 tea honey Combine to form a paste consistency, apply to face. Can make up a larger amount and use as a body scrub, yum, yum!
Guest guest
I haven't seen the Muscovado sugar (however the Hawaiian Red Salt looks like it's gonna be a blast and it tastes great too). Is that a fine or coarse sugar? I learned the hard way about coarse exfoliants--they irritate my acne horribly. Serra Hi Serra, To me it was coarser then my normal scrub, which is made up of oatmeal, clay, ground almonds, etc. But it did not irritate my rosacea. Actually, my skin felt smooth and moisturized after use. I only used it for a minute and did not do a hard scrub, but I really liked the results. I don't scrub often, but every now and then my face just wants that deep clease a scrub can produce. If you are concerned, maybe you can flip the ingredience amount. 1/2 tbls sugar, 1 tbls coconut oil. As for the salt, that I would never use on face, but as a body scrub, love it. Haven't used the red sea salt yet. Needed to use up another salt scrub that I had made up first. But next time will use it as I have both the fine and, thanks to Chris for a sample size, also the course. Hope that helps, Karleen
