Hey folks,

I know SOMEBODY here has to have some ideas .. what do you do with whey?

I have some local raw goat milk Kefir-Leban cheese that I am making and

I have a container full of whey now and I am wondering what I can do

with it.

Maybe make soap with it? Maybe some lacto-fermented pickled beets with

it ....? Those are some of my ideas and I figured I'd put it out here

and see what anyone else who has whey does with it *lol*

Dear Christine,

Whey is nutritional gold!

Sally Fallon's book " Nourishing Traditions " has

recipes that use it as a starter for fermented vegs

and as a base for drinks.

She uses equal parts of water and whey with

lemon juice.

A tablespoon of whey is good for the joints.

Use whey instead of water in any baked goods.

Get the book, it is so excellent.

If I could have only one food book, this would be it.

I have a whey question -- I know it is dairy, but I have also heard that

people who have trouble with dairy still can have wehy. Know anything about

this?
