Guest guest
Hi all, was going to try the gin/raisin thingy, as it sounded good to me reckon if nothing else the booze would help. As a Brit now in Alabama, I loved the John Cleese bit it was really funny, not sure about the Queen not knowing Eric clapton played guitar, she did honour him after all, Anyway as well as the recipe, does anyone of you amazing ladies have a good fix for peeling nails? They have never been very strong, but now I can't even get them past the nail bed as they just peel off in layers. I take, 6000vit C. 200 Calcium fish oil caps, flax seed caps something in that lot should be helping. I even bought a juicer so that I would start having veggies as I have always hated them. Amazing how good they taste juiced though, I was really surprised. Another question [believe me I have a ton of them] I read that you couldn't or at least shouldn't keep the drink for very long as the juice loses most of the goodness after a couple of hours! is this right as I have been doing one reeeeelly big juice of everything I can think of and putting it in the fridge to use over the next few days? Thanks you are all really amazing Patricia winnieplum
Guest guest
Dear Patricia, Check the archives for the gin-raisin thing. It was pretty basic! Pour gin over raisins and let stand. I just don't remember what kind of raisin. As for your nails, have you tried zinc? And silica? Do you have horse tail growing anywhere? Great source of silica. A friend of mine makes her own capsules from dried horsetail and as long as she takes it her hair is OK. Without it it is barely there. Anyway, minerals are best taken in a whole-food context since so many co-factors all work together. Some good sources of trace minerals are: Live Celtic Seasalt Pascalite (http://pascalite.com) Any sea vegetable AFA algae. The last item is the love of my nutritional life and you can read about it by sending a blank email here: aquazon As for the juice question: putting it in the fridge for days would take some of the life out. The more alive something is, the faster it spoils. Has anyone else noticed that organic produce spoils faster? Juice is just bursting with life force, aka enzymes, so it goes really fast. You will still have some of the vitamins but the enzymes are very fragile. In short, make it at least every other day! Happy juicing, Ien in the Kootenays **************************** I can finish my own sentences again! muddled ****************************
