The SAFE percentages for dilution are different for all EO.

THE Safety Manual on referenced, scientifically proven safe dilution for

dermal application of Essential Oils is Martin Watt's Plant Aromatics ..

URL is below. The old edition was $75 .. I have published the new,

revised edition and offer it for $44.90 .. it can be seen and ordered at

URL http://www.av-at.com/plantaromaticsavnp.html The revised edition

came out in November 2001 and is now in the Fourth Printing. I am

exclusive dealer for North and South America.

If one is dealing with blends and they don't have this Safety Manual as

a desk side reference .. and they are asking others for advice on the

percentages of EO to use .. its like approaching a railroad crossing and

not looking both ways before you cross because there is a signal there.

The fact that a particular EO was tested safe at 10% dilution and

another at 5% and another at 8% does NOT mean you can include the three

EO in blend in the same ratios .. because the effects are cumulative.

Many of them will share similar chemical compositions.

My personal opinion is that you are overdoing it already by including

the four EO you listed above. More is never better and most of the

blends we find in this or that novel have not been tried by the writer

nor are they necessarily effective. Many " recipes " are simply intended

to sell more essential oils.

Welcome .. and y'all keep smiling. :-)
