I have had nothing but trouble with Gmail...a friend sent me an invite and I

signed up and responded to the e-mail to activate it and to this day it says

no such person or address or password though it's on the email they sent me

and I even requested my password and they sent it to me and to this day it

still won't work... few other people have had the same problem with it so it's

hit or miss...also I e-mailed their tech people 4 weeks ago and still haven't

heard also re-emailed about 2 weeks ago and still nothing....just letting you

know that I have had problems with it...I know a lot of people have not had

problems.

Hi Rhavda,

Not a dumb question at all! Gmail is an email service, like Hotmail or

, but much better. You get a full 1 GB storage and your email

files are organized by conversation (no more trying to " file " it all)

and it's SEARCHABLE!

The service is in Beta test, but it's working beautifully and I'm very

happy with it. You can only get an account by getting an invitation

from another user, and I've seen people auctioning their invites on

eBay for $5 apiece.

Just holler offlist if you'd like an invite.

Yep, you'd have to switch any traffic you prefer to recieve your gmail

in to go to the address you pick for the gmail. I changed nearly

everything I get for email to my gmail address because I'm moving and

I'll have to change servers, which means I won't get mail addressed to

the old one anymore.
