Guest guest
Vickie mentioned FO's. I too use them some, as customers seem to want peach and strawberry and such. But, I've learned to distinguish those that smell better ( less chemical aroma to them ) than others. Along that line...I meet with a lady nearly every week at a networking meeting. She always wears a STRONG perfume. I know that by her dress and demeanor she thinks she is buying the best...but I smell so much of the chemical componants that it wants to make me puke. She won't or hasn't yet bought any of my soap or toiletries. If I can get over the shyness, think I will gift her with some samples. But, being around her she will probably think that because they are homemade they aren't good, they are, but she wouldn't admit it. I have to find a way to market to the Yuppies in my area..any suggestions? Those of you around Houston...I live across the freeway from The Woodlands, so you know the mentality. Guest guest
Maybe you could aproach her by telling her how nice she smells and offer her a freebie like you mentioned. Try to put her at ease.Dont tell her there handmade. Just give her time to smell and try it and if she responds positivally then tell her there handmade and chemical free. Just a thought Anita Reeves <anita-r wrote: Vickie mentioned FO's. I too use them some, as customers seem to want peach and strawberry and such. Guest guest
The term " hand-crafted " vs " homemade " implies a studied trade and artisanship, and might appeal to the yuppies because of that :-) Just my 2¢ worth there though :-) Shelley Anita wrote: >She won't or hasn't yet bought any of my soap or toiletries.
