Guest guest
Aromatherapy to me is a very powerful thing to me. I do not classify just essentials oils as the only thing that produces therapeutic effects, both physically, and emotionally. All my life I have used scent as a window to my past, or at least a link to my favorite events in my life. A warm vanilla scent reminds me of my vanilla stage I went through in high school, that the boys really liked, I can remember them saying it reminded them of their preschool teacher that they had a crush on. Lol! I smell everything. I have to say one of my strong qualities is having a great sniffer. If you would define aroma, I would say that everything revolves around aromas. Food cooking, sweeping into the streets, luring people in. I guess everyone has their own take on this. I would also love to hear what others on this group say. This was just my way of defining. Guest guest
There are so many definitions of the term Aromatherapy. I was wondering what everyone here defines it as .. and I don't mean a definition that was seen in a book, or on a web site, I mean - what do YOU think it means (or maybe even more appropriately, what do you think it should mean ? *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Aromatherapy to me is any scent used not only to enjoy the scent of essential oils but to me it also triggers appetites, memories, love, joy, moods etc, I have also found that some fragrant oils can also bring about the same sensations but I think there is a different name for this - anyone know what it is called? Guest guest
Aromatherapy? I kind of like the following definition: Although I personally might want to add " through inhalation or physical application " Aromatherapy is the use of natural volatile plant oils, for physical, mental and emotional well being.
