Guest guest
Paula, The 40% water discount you state is it really a discount? I understand the 5% super fat but don't understand the 40% water discount - seems to me that this would be the common amount of liquid to use in a recipe - can you help me understand the liquid amount? Guest guest
You need X-amount of water to dissolve the lye in. You can use up to 40% less of that amount and still have enough water to dissolve the lye and teh soap will dry or cure faster with less water. If you use the lye calc at he sage, you usually get " ..... we recommend that you use approximately X-Y fluid ounces of liquid " . I discount 40% off the higher number.
