Laura,

The only difference in cp and hp, is that you let the lye water and oils cool

down more, and pour at trace rather than cook, and then put it to bed (ie cover

it). Or what do you do differently?

Anita

who realized to late that I forgot to trim the last post...wet noodle for me!

NO soap noodle thank you.

HP, only because I have never done CP or HPOP

Took me a few years to go from melt and pour to

HP. All the warnings about lye scared me. After my first

batch of HP I realized it was not so bad. I was hooked

after my first batch!

Hi Anita,

I just read what I wrote and realized I mixed up the cp and hp.

I make my soap using cold process (not the other way that I wrote it--

oops)

What I have read about hp is that you cook it until it reaches all these

different stages without boiling it or it may splatter and that seems so

complicated.

Using cp is pretty simple and I have never had a problem.

What is the advantage to hp? Does the soap cure quicker?
