I do it because it is simple and unless I've done something totally stupid it (for me anyway) idiot proof. I use simple individual plastic molds let set overnight or until apparently firm; pop into the freezer for a few hours; pop out of molds and let dry and harden. Easy! Next is liquid soap at also a 5% superfat. Seems to work for me! in all my soaps I only use essential oils or infused oils with or without plant matter. Regards Merinda If all else fails, cry!
