Dang! Looks like I got a reply from Butch and decided not to give me

this one! I better go head over to the groups site and go read it in full.

Thanks Pam for responding to Butch's note, or I wouldn't have known it came

through.

Hi Margaret, Pam .. other good folks ..

Thankee ma'am .. I appreciate the kind words. :-)

> WOW Butch, thanks! You truly are amazing aren't you.

Welcome you are .. and these too are appreciated. I hear such words all

the time from my girlfriend but she's not a disinterested third party so

her testimony is not credible. ;-)

If he says he removes thymol from Oregano Oil .. I flat don't believe

him! First, I know his distiller .. and I'll leave that at that.

Secondly .. to do this is an expensive and difficult process .. and I

flat do NOT believe Cass Igram would spend the money to do it.

Thirdly .. Cass Igram MUST know that the piddly amount of thymol in

Oregano could not be harmful with even frequent use .. we're talking

about like 2% or so in the average batch .. as compared to one heckuva

lotta thymol in Thymus vulgaris and such .. I can't quote a percentage

on Thymus vulgaris as I don't sell it and have no analysis on it.

Fourthly .. Cass Igram might be trying to " diss " Thyme because there are

some folks around who believe Thyme will do all the nice things Oregano

will do. I'm not one of those people.

Finally .. I think this is one of those situations where we gather all

of the possible objections folks could raise .. and cover them all by

stating from the gitgo that they don't apply here. If folks think

Thymol is harmful (which is really is not) then someone might decide to

cover that base to be sure they don't lose a buyer.

Thankee ma'am. :-)

Welcome for sure and thanks.

> And as far as pricing and stuff goes. OMG how can he charge prices like

> he does and get folks to pay it. The super duper strength is like 72.00

> an ounce!

He hypes his as being the ONLY real thing .. like Gary Young does YL

oils .. and there are enough gullible folks out there to eat that up ..

and the fact that both call themselves Dr. .. Igram does not have a

license now and Mr. Young never was one .. he's just a liar .. helps

them with the weak of mind cause they think Doctors are always right.

If the Super Dooper oil is diluted at 10% even .. and the cost of 1

ounce is $72 then you're paying $11,520 a pound for the Oregano. My

proven quality Oregano oil is $58.99 a pound. A bit cheaper.

> No wonder he doesn't need to practice as a doctor anymore!

I don't think that's the reason why he's not practicing now. ;-)

Thankee ma'am. I have always tried to tell it like it is or like I

think it is .. all my life. Reason for this is I have a bad memory and

folks with a bad memory can never be a good liar. ;-)

>>Here he says, " North American Herb & Spice invented the process of

Mebbe .. or mebbe he has memory problems. ;-)

Lots of info out and about on Igram .. and in time I think he will get a

lot of the same kind of attention Gary Young gets now.

>>She is not in any danger with the oil .. but the hard-headed part

>>might get her in hot water in the future. ;-)

>

> Good to know! And I agree. :)

But mebbe it won't too .. I been hard-headed all my life and have

avoided getting into hot water so far. ;-)

>>This is not a matter of the oil being dangerous .. Cass Igram is like

>>Gary Young in that its a matter of lack of ethics.

>

> It's this kind of lack of ethics that concerns me! And I know your oregano

> oil won't be dangerous when used appropriately, but who knows what he has

> and sells for real!

Thanks .. and it is hard to know without an analysis .. and harder still

when an oil is in Olive Oil. One thing I do know about his distiller ..

that business of paying peasants to not pick the wild Oregano is garbage

because a few years ago I wasted money ($150 x 3) testing three samples

of that dude's Oregano Oil. NONE of them tested over 40% Carvacrol and

one was 26% .. worthless as a three dollar bill .. but that did tell me

that he was buying the cheap aromatic materials that had been harvested

by peasants who had jumped the gun on the legal date and picked crops

before they were mature. It is impossible for there to be any other

explanation for this. So .. if you have oils that are useless .. the

only way to make them marketable would be to spend one helluva lotta

money fractionalizing the oil .. which would allow you to remove certain

other chemicals and thus .. raise the percentage of Carvacrol .. which

would also result in an oil that smelled nothing like Oregano .. or add

synthetic Carvacrol to the oil and increase the Origanum odor.

>>It was all a part of the sliding into home and saying, " It was a helluva

>>ride. " ;-)

> You are so cool for having such an attitude. I truly hope that I would

> have the same should I endure the kind of scams and backstabbing you have.

Long ago I decided it wasn't worth losing sleep over .. money is not a

big deal .. like air and sex .. they're necessary only if you need them

and can't get none. And even though I believe what I just said .. I

think principle is a big deal .. so if I ever see one of those dudes

face to face I'll probably kick their ass .. just on principle. ;-)

> If I haven't said it enough yet...Thank you so much for taking the time

> to put this response together for me!

My pleasure it was and welcome you are.
