Guest guest
WOW Butch, thanks! You truly are amazing aren't you. I'm gonna snip a lot so as not to confuse myself or others. > > My questions are this. Is thymol toxic and harmful? Is it removed >from > > the oil? > >Thymol could be toxic and harmful if one consistently used it .. and >it >is not removed from Thyme oils. When I wrote the above questions I was actually referring to removal of thymol from oregano oil. I read that on one of the sites I visited regarding his oregano oil. Said that they take out the thymol in the oregano oil since it is toxic. I just wondered about that. > >However .. what she is using is NOT Thyme oil .. its Oregano >(Origanum >something or other) .. he says its all Origanum vulgare but I damn >sure >know better. ;-) Matters not what type of Origanum it is as its not >neat .. its undiluted anyway. I think his regular is like 5% Oregano >and >95% Olive Oil and his Super Dooper Guaranteed to Not Rust, Bust or >Collect Dust is like 10% in 90% Olive Oil .. and its not gonna hurt >most >folks .. though one can never be 100% certain of not becoming >sensitized >to ANY oil. I did ask her if it was diluted and she didn't know. So I did speak to her about sensitization. She called after she went home and told me it said olive oil and oil of oregano on the bottle, so I quit worrying. I looked up your old post too and saw the 5% info. Well, I told her not to waste her money and that I can get REAL oregano oil from THE Oregano expert. Thank you so much for all your wisdom in your post and the links. I will let my sis know about all this stuff! And as far as pricing and stuff goes. OMG how can he charge prices like he does and get folks to pay it. The super duper strength is like 72.00 an ounce! No wonder he doesn't need to practice as a doctor anymore! >But I don't do radio and I don't use any marketing hype and I am not >an >(ex)doctor. ;-) And I for one am glad that you don't fill us with hype and are such a straight shooter! I feel very lucky to be able to learn from you! > >Here he says, " North American Herb & Spice invented the process of >making edible essential oils user safe and friendly. " Which I guess >means mixing it with Olive Oil .. and he is damn sure not the first >to >do that. ;-) http://www.oreganol.com/CompanyInfo.cfm I suppose he is one of the first to go so very public announcement style with it to get the attention. >The previous coverage (article) they are referring to is here .. READ >THIS if you don't read anything else I have written here. >http://www.healthwatcher.net/Quackerywatch/Outbreak/cassingram- >mcphee.html I've read it! And looked at all the rest of your links too! Don't want to miss a thing! >She is not in any danger with the oil .. but the hard-headed part >might >get her in hot water in the future. ;-) Good to know! And I agree. >This is not a matter of the oil being dangerous .. Cass Igram is like >Gary Young in that its a matter of lack of ethics. It's this kind of lack of ethics that concerns me! And I know your oregano oil won't be dangerous when used appropriately, but who knows what he has and sells for real! >It was all >a >part of the sliding into home and saying, " It was a helluva >ride. " ;-) You are so cool for having such an attitude. I truly hope that I would have the same should I endure the kind of scams and backstabbing you have. If I haven't said it enough yet...Thank you so much for taking the time to put this response together for me! In gratitude, Margaret
