OT-Old But Not Forgotten

This is one I definitely am sending on to my dad and my brother Joe

in Alaska. My dad and both my brothers golf and I had to laugh at

number 10 of the growing old part. Though they will never admit it,

I know for a fact that they all have had to replace an iron or two

after a game. I remember one of them mentioning something about my

dad and a tree...Also, I was raised on a farm, and we had plenty of

experience with cow chips (believe it or not, one of our family's

most memorable moments is when I and my cousins had this cow chip

fight..Instead of a snowball fight, well, we used another resource

and it was summer at the time. I was pretty good at picking the best

ones..hard on the outside so I could pick them up without a mess, and

inside they were nice and gooey..perfect to catch an onery cousin

with in the back. When we were done, our parents had to hose us down

before we could go inside, and no, we weren't little kids..we were

teenagers!) My brothers both have tried the peeing on the electric

fence part. Me, I am smarter (and my anatomy is a little bit

different which would make peeing on an electric fence a real

acrobatic endeavor), so I never did such a thing. My mom didn't

raise any dummies (well, except for my brothers. They aren't on this

list so I can speak freely without fear of bodily harm). As for the

age part..you all have probably got the message that I have quite a

few gray hairs (I have kids), and my sister-in-law is always asking

me when I am going to cover it up with hair dye. I told her then,

and I still say it now, every one of those gray hairs is a badge of

courage and I earned every one (plus it helps me get chairs to sit in

when all the seats are full). Same thing with my wrinkles. I have

less than my hubby, but he says that's because he's married to me.

He's a real funny man..ha ha. And I agree with Butch 100% with his

comments he made about Will Rogers..I find I have done the same

things he had done (except that I have never had to train men like he

has). I really got a kick out of the Will Rogers post and just had

to chime in on it.

Talk to you later...
