Guest guest
Kathleen...I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Mr Bessie only a short while ago due to cancer and I know how you are feeling. The best consolation I had was knowing that for the time we had with him, he was treated well, loved very much, and lived a lot longer than he probably would have if not for us taking him in. He knew he was loved and I felt better knowing that. I know the same is true with your Pumpkin. You loved him and I know he knew it, animals are so intuitive, and if anything, that was the best gift he ever could have had. I know nothing anyone can say right now will make you and your family feel better, but I will keep you in my prayers. I also want to thank all of you for your good advice on tincturing. I really have a lot to learn! I didn't know about everclear being in two different strengths..as it's often noted, you learn something new everyday. In my younger days before I settled down and met hubby, the only experience I had with that kind of stuff was the homemade stuff (I did live in the Ozarks for a while when I was young). That stuff would put hair on a bowling ball! (It's because of my younger, dumber times that I get gray now that my kids are at that age..I KNOW what goes on!) I was really interested about using fresh wisteria and tincturing that..I have wisteria vines on my porch and now I can use them and maybe capture their scent. That is very exciting for me. My hubby doesn't like them much because they really take over and the whole porch is covered with them. I like them.. birds nest in them and you can watch the baby chicks grow, and I can sit there in the shade and watch the world go by and no one can see me..which is great because I look terrible in shorts. So..you all have given me a good start in learning about tincturing. Thanks.. Cherry
