Guest guest
It's been a VERY bad day. Pumpkin start two nights ago not feeling well. I mean sitting out in the rain, not eating and not drinking much. I gave him all of yesterday to see if he would/could shake it off. This morning he looked REALLY bad. Took him to the Vet. He had cancer and diabetes. According to the Vet, he prolly had the cancer when I got him about 8 months ago. Stupid STUPID me trusted the woman when she said that he had been checked over by a vet and was A-OK. As he was only a year old, I didn't bother to take him to a vet until it was time for his annual checkup (May). His pancreas was HUGELY enlarged. Vet thinks the Cancer had reached the Liver and was going into the bones, which is why the sudden deterioration. Anyway, had him put down this afternoon. >sigh< Cheers! Guest guest
I'm so sorry for you... we lost our own precious Killer a few months ago and I still think about him every day; he was a daily part of us for 12 wonderful years. Don't blame yourself for this... if the previous owner was aware of the cancer, then you gave Pumpkin the best gift of all... a loving home and special care for the rest of his days, something he may not have had otherwise. Guest guest
Oh Kathleen, I'm so sorry for your losses! First the duck and now your own fat cat. Our pets are such loving creatures and the joy they bring is unmeasurable. They have their special place in our hearts. You made their life better, more comfortable, and more loving. There isn't anyway you could have know Pumpkin was only going to be with you such a short time. Please find some comfort in knowing you gave him a better life for the time he was with you. I have a copy of Rainbow Bridge that I will send you off list. Guest guest
You've certainly have had a rough time this month. Sad to hear about your kitty. And no your not stupid for trusting the person you got the cat from. We all want to trust and what a sad world it would be if we loose trust. Hang in there and we'll all send an extra pray your way. Rita P.S. How are your kids handling all this?? Woobey Queen <WoobeyQueen wrote: It's been a VERY bad day. Pumpkin start two nights ago not feeling well.
