Guest guest
While at Tai Chi this morning, I suddenly realized how still I was and how calm I was. This is normal during Tai Chi, but I got to thinking about kids with ADD or ADHD. I shared about my children and the problems they had in school –well they came by it naturally – I never have been able to sit still. In the " old days " you were a wiggle worm or just simply a problem in class. I also found out many years later that I also am very dyslexic – as a kid I was just stupid – so I was a stupid kid what was a behavior problem. Tai Chi is a constant focused movement. I wonder if in countries (China) where doing this is the norm (or was) do they have the same type of learning challenges that our (US) kids do?? Rita I don't know, but my guess would be that there is less of it for various reasons. Better nutrition. More disciplined environment, probably simpler teaching methods.
