What kind of bodycare products are you using on him, ie: shampoo, cream etc? Could it be an allergy to something you are eating if you are nursing? Could he be allergic to something in his clothes, fabric, laundry detergent?? Some ideas. Here's my new question . . . Owen has beautiful soft skin, except on his face. He has patches which I thought were eczema, but the pediatrician says it is just dry skin and that I should moisturize. Well, I have been doing that, first with massage oil (a blend of carrier oils infused with calendula) and then with a butter made with various butters and oils and lavender and chamomile essential oils (wasn't really crazy about using any essential oils on his face, but it is very low dilutions). Then, I made a special lotion with lavender hydrosol, shea and cocoa butters, colloidal oatmeal, rice bran oil, EV olive infused with calendula. I don't think it is getting any better, and I question whether or not it really is dry skin since it is only on his face.
