Hi folks,

A Little Ol'Factory's Winter 2005 Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans Co-op

is here!

Vanilla is a flavoring popular since pre-Columbian times, when the

Aztecs used it in making chocolate. The first use of vanilla dates back

to Mexico, where the Aztecs used it to create a drink called Xoco-lall,

made from cocoa and vanilla beans. Today, vanilla beans from Madagascar

are the gold standard to which all others are compared.

These Grade A Vanilla planifolia beans from Madagascar are wonderfully

fragrant, plump, oily, very pliable (I can wrap them around my fingers

and tie them into a bow), and on average about 17 cm long (some longer).

They are not third party certified organic, but they are grown without

any synthetic chemicals - they are what I call - Traditionally Organic

(grown on land that has never had a synthetic chemical applied to it or

its flora :)

Vanilla beans can be stored for long periods of time - preferably in

glass containers with lids on them.

There are about 30 or so vanilla beans in a 1/4 lb, but as these are

being sold by weight this may vary slightly.

These days the average retail price for beans like this usually runs at

least $2.00 per BEAN and up - I've seen them being sold for $6.95 per

bean in some places ..

But for this co-op here is the pricing (USD):

1/8 lb - $20

1/4 lb - $30

1/2 lb - $55

1 LB - $100

The above prices do not include shipping.

This co-op will run for 10 days - from January 25 until February 4.

After the co-op closes I will order the beans and they should take about

a week or so to ship to me. At that time I will send out all orders.

All payments must be in to me by February 4th.

Accepted payment methods are: Check, Money Order, PayPal, ProPay, Visa &

MasterCard.

If you are interested please place your order at the web site

http://www.alittleolfactory.com. If you want to pay by PayPal or ProPay

during checkout just click " personal check " as your payment method and

write PayPal or ProPay in the comments box (please specify if the PayPal

is credit card funded or non credit card funded).

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail!

Thank you!
