Guest guest
Many people think that modern medicine can cure almost anything. You would be surprised and maybe shocked at how many diseases there is no cure or real treatment for and how many that Drs don't even know what causes them. For many, the best they can do is manage the symptoms. Emphysema & MS are 2 of them and I have them both. Guest guest
After 30+ yrs. of smoking 2 packs Marlboros per day, both my DH & I quit in 1994. We had both been diagnosed w/ onset chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. [COPD] Shortly after quitting, I was diagnosed with asthma. Although on 3 asthma meds/day [me], our annual chest xrays are clear, lungs 'sound' good, we have more stamina, and my CAT scan was clean. [My mom was a non-smoker & died from lung cancer.] ALL smoke/fumes bother my lungs. I do not believe that ANYTHING that burns can help emphysema. That includes our beloved candles, wood stoves, fireplaces, etc. There isn't any cure... However, much can be done by changing personal behaviors & changing personal environment. If for some that means maintaining the status quo- that's STILL good! Deb , " Paula Coon " <paulacoon@e...> wrote: > Many people think that modern medicine can cure almost anything. Guest guest
Hey Deb, Thanks for sharing this. To what do you attribute your clear lungs and clean scans today? Cheers on your success at restoring your lungs to this extent! Michelle
