We were very lucky. We had screamingly high winds but didn't lose anything. Many roads and bridges around us were closed for 24hours but, unusually, we didn't even lose our electricity. Lots of trees down, roof tiles off etc Out west in the islands it was the worst, I think 6 folk lost their lives, and another just south of Edinburgh. Ann Born in Glasgow, grew up in East Kilbride, came to Canada when I was 16.. still buy selection boxes for the kids..lol.. although they are really expensive..
