making your own formulas ?

Good morning,

I have a qeustion for anyone who knows how to make their own formulas.

If I go to the herb store and purchase extracts of like 3 or 4

seperate things to take, I would be taking a teaspoon each of these

making it 3 or 4 teaspoons total.

If I make 3 of my own tinctures it would be a teaspoon of each of

these seperate things. So here is the qeustion, if I combined 3 or 4

tinctures together would I take 3 or 4 teaspoons of the finished

combined tincture OR still just take one teaspoon ??

I want to try some different herbs that stimulate metabolism and I

wanted to combine them into one formula so I have one bottle instead

of like 4, But I am unsure of the dosage to take of the finished

product. Most of my books say that you still take just 1 teaspoon,

but If I made them each seperate I would take a teaspoon of each, so

why wouldn't I take like 4 teaspoons of the finished formula thus

getting 1 teaspoon of each of the tinctures I combine together ??

Thanks so much if you can help ??

I would take them separately.

Each tincture has a different formula for water , herb, alcohol ratio

and ( although I am not sure of it :), that might interfere with the

tinctures when mixed.

This is more of a good guess than scientific knowledge...

One teaspoon each, seems a lot , too..usually tinctures are taken by

drops in water.
