Bladder Infections and Peri/Menopause

Hi all,

For the women here that are of perimenopause or menopause age, I just

thought I would throw in that a recurrent bladder infections are

a " symptom " of peri/meno.

So, if you think that might be a contributing factor, your body may

be alerting you to the need to do more than treat the symptoms of

your bladder infection.

The lining of the urethra is very influenced by by hormonal changes.

In an addition to recurrent bladder infections, you may also begin to

notice incontinence (especially when laughing or sneezing), vaginal

yeast infections, vaginal dryness, and/or increased frequency in

urination.

These are typically a sign of a lack of estrogen. Phytoestrogens will

help tremendously. What I personally find most helpful are:

Vitex

Dong Quai

Essential Fatty Acids

Also, adding extra vitamin E (800 IU's) will help a great deal.

Remember, your body is a messenger of infinite wisdom through the

symptoms you experience. For those at peri/meno age, we must " listen "

to our symptoms, and look deeper than making them go away.

Happy Sunday,

Michelle
