The Fragrant Alchemist

Natural Perfumery - Level One

 

Taught by Eva Marie Lind

Executive Director and Artistic Creator of Natural Perfumes for

Floracopeia

 

Join us for a unique and educational weekend retreat devoted to the art

and science of creating natural perfumes.

The program begins with a Friday evening reception and introduction,

followed by two full days of intensive hands-on training in natural

perfumery. The weekend is a rich emersion into the world of aromatic

plants, accompanied with multimedia presentations and a full selection

of the finest aromatic treasures. Students will acquire the foundation

skills to proficiently select and blend essential oils, exotics, and

natural base elements.

 

Cost: $275 (Includes all materials and a $25 workbook)

Classroom space is limited. Pre-registration is strongly recommended.

Introduction Friday, March 4th; 7pm

Saturday and Sunday, March 5th and 6th, 2005

Eva Marie Lind

Éva-Marie is a passionate perfumery artist, an expert in the science of

distillation, an advocate of ecological awareness, and an educator of

alternative healing and sustainable living practices. She has practiced

as a clinical aromatologist for 14 years, and held the position of

program lead and department dean at private career colleges dedicated

to alternative medicine and healing arts. Her graduate studies in

France in 1998 advanced her skills as a master blender and perfumer,

leading her to serve as a research, educational and fragrance

consultant for several leading, International companies. Uncloaking the

language of scent and fundamentals of fragrance blending, her first

book, Aromatiques, A Sensualist¹s Guide to Aromatic oils (Bay/Soma),

was published in 2002. Éva-Marie is the Director of Natural Perfumery
