Hi Sandy,

I am not sure of an FO, but you can make a beautiful rose soap using rose

wax, rose concrete and rose absolute. You could probably not use the

absolute since it's a bit spendy too. I have done this using HP soap method

and you don't have to use much to get that rose scent in the soap.

Hey Sandy,

I am going to back Margaret up 110% on this one, and was going to

suggest the same thing. You will never, ever, ever find a rose FO

that smells anything like a real rose otto. Not sure why, but they

all seem to cling desperately to the same fake rose smell. Now, a

true rose otto or even rose absolute FO would be a gold mine for one

of the suppliers, but no one has created one to my knowledge. The

rose wax alone will provide excellent aroma, and will do so even in

cp soap. I have used this as rose for several years and it always

works like a charm. About 1 oz. of wax per 2 lbs. of soap will give

you a nice fragrance, or you can do 1.5 oz. per 2 lbs for amazing

rose aroma. A few drops of absolute will work to cement and round

that out. For rose wax, the best I've ever had comes from Rob

Pappas. It is the most fragrant. If you would like a little bit,

email me off list and I will send you a dash to sniff.

I've tried numerous rose fo's and found two that are awesome!!! They

both are from www.rusticescentuals.com Rustic Rose and Wild Denali

Rose. I've not soaped the fo's only used them in making candles.

They are the truest fo's rose scent that I have found, it only took

3yrs and lots of $$$.

Sandy, haven't seen the original post, and although I too agree that the rose

wax and absolute would be good...if you are looking for the BEST rose FO, check

out www.wildwaystudio.com. Paige's Yellow Rose is the closest I have found to

the " real " rose aroma. Doesn't have that snythetic smell that others I have

sniffed have. If you would like, I'll send you a cotton ball sniffy. Just

email me privately at anita- with your snail mail addy.
