I am allergic to them or their dander or whatever. Anita Anita, I think your husband is right, cedar shavings will not do the trick. CATS would ! Guest guest
Hi Anita As an ol public health person, mice can create some very big health problems esp. if they are in an enclosed area. And all warehouses seem to have issues with them. I asked the mouse question last fall. We live in a very cold and snowier part of the country and mice get into our barn where we have things stored and our garage. Peppermint was recommended as well as horse apples (not road apples LOL). I took cotton balls (a bag full) and soaked them with peppermint oil and put them around, I also got several of those high frequency gizmo's that you plug in and are suppose to run them off. Then just to make sure the mice aren't in our garage(which is attached to the house, we put the cat out there at night. He has brought us several mousesicles that he has found out doors, but not one from the garage. Now the other problem that is created by mice for the cat is worms -- have to have him de-wormed regularly. If they can have a few cats around and will take care of the cats that might also help. If there is ANY food around, that package of crackers in some ones drawer that will also attract them -- big time. Good luck. You guessed it...they have a BIG problem with mice! The ladies especially would like a spray or something that covers the odor of dead mice. I would also like that blend to deter the mice, as hubby and others have to clean their desks off every morning from the mouse droppings. Yes, the company puts out traps and poison. Told him I could make some musslin tea bags with cedar shavings to put around, but need the support on this as he doesn't believe me that cedar deters mice. Not when the pet stores sell cedar for bedding for pet mice. Can anyone give me ideas for a blend? I was thinking Lavender(augustifolia), peppermint, cedar(can't remember which kind I have). But was wondering if this sounds good, or someone else has a better/ effective blend. BTW, I will probably have to go looking in for my answers, as it seems I'm only getting about 1/2 of the messages, and it() tells me I'm not bouncing, HA!
