Guest guest
Re: cont. ed question Lynn, I have been wondering about qigong and taiji and whether/how they compute for ceu's/pda's. A colleague who has served on the NCCAOM board says they do, but I haven't checked it out for veracity or details. We need to find out what the NCCAOM says, as well as our state boards. This is a good issue, since qigong and taiji are offered at nearly all acupuncture schools, and in many states they are within our 'scope of practice.' The problem is that this is not well defined. Many, if not most, qigong and taiji instructors are not L.Ac.'s. It will probably be easier to define and approve a college-level course in asian studies or a bio-med subject for continuing ed credits. Please feel free to continue this discussion off-line, though I'm sure your question is of interest to many. Thanks for raising it.
