Guest guest
Hey Effie .. Kathy .. other good folks. > Sorry I just had to butt in here. I work in a nursing home and no one is > too old for anything. I have a lady going for surgery on polops on Tuesday > that she has had in her nasal cavities sinces she was a child and she is 80 > plus years old. How can he say that you are too old? Three years ago I was visiting my buddy in NM when his father called him from Kentucky and told him that two days prior (to the call) he had bypass surgery. His father was 96 at that time! His father died last summer .. age 98 .. but his death was not due to a heart problem. > Find a second doctor and get another opinion! Kathy in Ohio Totally agree! Many years back doctors told my neighbor their baby son would not reach 10 years old .. he had an enlarged heart. When he was 10 years old they said he had but a year or two to go .. he is now in his late 40s. He still has an enlarged heart. Its not uncommon for doctor's and labs to make mistakes .. according to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) one of the top five causes of unplanned death in the USA is incorrect diagnosis and treatment. If they admit this .. reluctant or otherwise .. then I am prepared to accept it as truth. The many of us who have known Effie over the years know that she is one tough lady with a positive attitude. If anybody can kick a disease in the ass and continue to buy green bananas .. I am certain it will be Smilin' Effie. :-) Butch > Effie, > > My heart goes out to you! > > I would most assuredly go for a 2nd opinion!
