Hi all:

One of the members on this list sent me some research information on levaquin

and I have missed placed the web site addy. If you or anyone on the list know

anything about this so called drug, please contact me. I have been diagnosed

with Myelo Dysplastic Syndrome and am not believing it. I was on levaquin last

year just after Christmas and feel very strongly that 'it' has caused my low

white blood count. I would like to be able to take the information along when I

go back the 22nd for another blood draw. According to the doctor I have one

year or with treatment, maybe up to 20 months. BULLS***

Also, Butch, will you email me off list. Would like your opinion on a issue I

am thinking of trying. My email addy is britchs

Blessings and love,

Effie

Thanks, Carol, for the support. The doctor isn't always right and I will

not go sit in a corner and say 'poor me'. I have never been a quitter and I

am NOT going to start now. The doctor won't consider a bone marrow

transplant because as she put it--I'm too old!!!!!! That's a kick in the

shin.

Effie,

My heart goes out to you!

I would most assuredly go for a 2nd opinion! If this is a condition you DO

have, then they should do everything they can to help you. Too old for a

transplant. <HMPH!> That's just plain wrong!

If you've been misdiagnosed, then you need to know the REAL problem you are

dealing with, so it can be treated properly....either by a doctor or by

natural means. Please, please keep fighting! Life is too precious to give

up....and I can tell by your emails that you are a fighter! So keep it up.

;)

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Take good care!

Sorry I just had to butt in here. I work in a nursing home and no one is too

old for anything. I have a lady going for surgery on polops on Tuesday that she

has had in her nasal cavities sinces she was a child and she is 80 plus years

old. How can he say that you are too old? Find a second doctor and get another

opinion! Kathy in Ohio

Kathy,

When it comes to bone marrow or other transplants they do have

cut-off's when it comes to age, but also there is another intake factor,

such as general health ,condition etc..than there is the insurance factor...

Our health nowadays is not determined by what makes sense or should be

done, but by what the insurance's, medicaid, medicare are willing to pay.

If you are super rich you can get anything done...

But I agree, this lady needs to see another Doctor for a second opinion.

If you want an alternative sensing of what you have let me know.

I know of someone that could find out for you what you really have.

This of course is if you believe.

Let me know and I will see if they can for you but we would need your

permission to do so. What does that mean? It means you just have to

say yes I want you to sense me.

Let me know
