Guest guest
There is a mineral makeup line that I Heard of recently, that has lavender essential oil in the formulation. Considering Martin's research on this recently that he has on his website, this makes me concerned. Won't the lavender oxidize on the skin, after having set out a while? The lady who is selling it, is not making it herself, but buying from a supplier. She is touting it as great for rosacea or skin that Is damaged. Here is the site: www.forevermineralcosmetics.com <http://www.forevermineralcosmetics.com/> Here is the ingredients: Loose Powder Foundation- Vitamineral Aromatherapy: mica, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, boron nitrate, mica and super oxide dismutase, catalase apple extract, horseradish, phospholipids, retinyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, butylene glycol, green tea extract, lavender, sandelwood, geranium, ylang ylang, patchouli, rosemary, sage, cedarwood, palmarosa. May contain: iron oxide, ultramarines, bismuth oxychloride What damage could this do?Any thoughts? Thanks for any info on this, Jennifer

The biggest reason that I use mineral makeup is to get away from all un-necessary ingredients. The ingredients of the minerals that I use are so simple and so few (titanium dioxide, iron oxides & mica). I feel that the special needs of one's skin should be served with skincare (and skincare using EO's, special oils and other special ingredients are great... they are what I make or purchase myself!). Mineral makeup itself is an excellent skincare choice. It calms/helps rosacae and other skin problems just by it's little ol' self. --And I won't even go into the great colors and how great my skin looks with mineral makeup on --except to say that my hyperpigmentation spots.... wait! what hyperpigmentation spots???! Just my opinion on the matter... Andrea
