Guest guest
Hello, All, I'm a chronic List Lurker-- I love reading the posts & although there's many I'd love to respond to I never seem to get a message of my own composed-- let alone posted! I apologize for my laziness! I've been working with essential oils (mostly for myself, and a few friends and family) for about a year now, enough to be hopelessly hooked. I've experimented a bit with bath salts and I'm about to slide down that " slippery slope " into soapmaking-- so look for more questions from me soon!! In the meantime, with Christmas looming large, I've got a couple of friends that I'd like to make some dry skin cream/lotion for. Two friends in particular have a terrible time in the Indiana winter with dry, cracked skin and very poor circulation in the hands (and feet). I would LOVE some suggestions for creams or lotions, and essential oils! Neither of them (both guys) want anything that " feels greasy " or (God Forbid!!) " Slimy " !! I recently got some of Margaret's Shea Butter and I'm thinking of using that as a base. (That stuff is just AWESOME!! No other word for it!! Thanks in advance! Guest guest
Hi Sue, I have very dry skin too and my daughter tells me she can tell the weather by her legs ! LMAO Yes, I almost wet myself laughing when she told me that. What she meant is that her legs get real dry and flaky when the weather is about to turn cold. The joke in our house and with friends now is we have Lee-Lee legs ! (Lee-Lee is her nick name.) Recently I made a very simple but awesome cream using shea butter, mowrah butter and monoi oil. equal parts of each and blended with a blender. It is greasy for only a minute or so as it soaks into your skin very quickly. My hubby is a photographer and does a lot of his own printing so his hands get very dried out from the fix. He loves this new cream I made. Hugs, Sally p.s. posting is a lot of fun ! Hope we see more post from you in the future - suemogle<suemogle < > Friday, December 17, 2004 9:25 PM Dry Skin/poor hand circulation Hello, All, I'm a chronic List Lurker-- I love reading the posts & although there's many I'd love to respond to I never seem to get a message of my own composed-- let alone posted! Guest guest
Hi, Sally, Loved the story about the " Lee-Lee legs " ! I've got a couple of joints I can tell the weather by! I want to try your cream recipe! What proportions do you use, and where do you get the mowrah butter and monoi oil? Thanks so much! --Sue , " Sally Trew " <SallyTrew2@m...> wrote: > Hi Sue, > I have very dry skin too and my daughter tells me she can tell the weather by her legs !
