Guest guest
Just seen a report on a Dutch study that has thrown up remarkable information on diet and health. A great example of good science supporting traditional uses. They found that regular consumption of fish, red wine, dark chocolate, fruit, veg, almonds and yuk-garlic increased the statistical life span in men of 6.6 years and in women by 5 years. 150 ml of red wine a day decreases heart disease by a whopping 32%. As a matter of interest, about 3 years ago my own blood pressure went dangerously high. Since that time I have had just one glass of a sweet red dessert wine with my dinner most days. The BP went back to where my doctor signed me off. I only took herbal medicine for a few months and then stopped so I am certain it was the wine that did the trick. I expect Butch would want to add good olive oil to the above and I would agree, particularly if it was in place of that disgusting junk garlic. So forget those scam artists in the health food trade who sell overpriced vitamins and minerals and instead eat a good mixed diet. That is REAL natural medicine. Guest guest
If you're into this, I really suggest Paul Pitchford's book, Healing With Whole Foods. -Josh >Just seen a report on a Dutch study that has thrown up remarkable >information on diet and health.
