Okay, now our youngest four footed member is losing teeth.

Can someone tell me if there is anything I can do for him? Payton doesn't

appear to be uncomfortable but I know how these critters are: they just keep

going unless it's really bad. Plus he needs new chew toys but we've been so

busy with the basement renovation that he's been a bit neglected.

The kids are enjoying keeping his teeth and exploring them.

I'm hoping Sevi is still reading.......I went to cybercanine and didn't find

anything there. I'm glad Butch has kept you here!

don't worry - he's not hurting and I don't think there's anything you can or

need to do

Take a couple of terry cloth dish towels and wet them and ring them out.

Then put them in the freezer. When they are frozen take one of them out and

give it to the pup!! keep on doing this until his teething is over....

Thank you everyone that responded! Payton wound up losing four teeth. For the

life of me though I am rolling on the ground at how hard the kids are trying to

get Payton to hold still so they can look in his mouth!! That is not happening.

I must say though that what I read about Labs being wonderful with kids is

absolutely true. The kids have pulled his mouth open as gently as a 7 and 9

year old could and taken away things they thought he should not be chewing on

(like their toys) and generally being a real pain (if I were a dog I would think

so) but he has not once growled or otherwise shown aggressiveness toward them

and he is now 6 1/2 months old.

Payton loved the ice cubes and the carrots. The cold wet cloth was actually

helpful too - we are working on the basement and the contractor really wanted us

to keep the liquid nails warm so it would stay pliable. Therefore we have the

heat up a bit in the house which means both the dog and the cat (don't

ask...they get along like...well, cats and dogs!) have been a little on the

thirsty side just like us.

Right now the kids have had fun lining up the teeth where they should go in the

dog's mouth but also to create 'mountains' in their geography lesson. LOL!!!

Sevi, I did a search for books ... did you write a book that I found???
