I have also seen " pelargonium roseum " as the species. I also have once had a rose geranium oil that smelled " too good to be true " ... come to find out the aroma had been 'boosted' by adding a bit of rose absolute. so...it is POSSIBLE that there is some so called rose geranium EO out there that is produced by compounding other products. But it shouldn't be... it should be a pure, natural essential oil. Now... if someone out there is selling it for $10 a lb... then be very wary indeed...
