Hi to all of you of this group...I had my computer in the shop for some TCL and

when I finally got it back, of course there were all these messages and I have

been slowly trying to get caught up. I can't remember if I had a chance to

introduce myself properly when I first joined and so now that I have had a

chance to figure out where I am here, I figured I had better get this going. My

name is Cherry and I live in northwest Missouri. I had spent a long time

reading the message archives and boy, there are a lot of messages!...and I have

learned a lot from all of you. I am new at making my own lotions and soaps and

such, and I have been learning as much as I can about aromatherapy in the

meantime. You are all a goldmine of info and I appreciate being part of this

group so I can learn. I have been especially intrigued by the recent posts and

I just had to be part of this..I am half-Hungarian and my mother comes from

Michigan and the Hungarian recipes sure brought back memories for

me. I had just discussed the making of Hungarian cookies and pastries and

other goodies with my cousin and lo and behold! the same subject came up on this

group! Really made my week!

I am the mother of two grown up girls...one is getting engaged and the

younger is in the military and HOORAY! She is going to get to come home for

Christmas! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. She left college to join the

Air Force because she wanted so badly to do her part in defense of our country

and my hubby, my other daughter, my family and I support her fully. I have both

an Air Force flag flying on my porch and an American Flag. We live in a very

small town of only 450 souls and every one of them know we are Air Force parents

and are avid supporters of all the troops. I can't wait until my daughter gets

here. I have been telling her about the lotions I am making and the the

creams..she is especially interested in getting a good cream for dry skin and I

have gotten some really good ideas from all of you here. I am especially

grateful to Butch and Chris...you have been and still are some of my best

teachers. I have so enjoyed reading Butch's posts...you are a

huge help to me and I haven't ordered yet from you, but I will be after the

holidays. I have ordered from Chris and have gotten excellent service. I am

slowly but surely getting my supplies and herbs and oils and after trying out

some of my own ideas on my ever-loving DH (whether he likes it or not!) maybe I

can start selling my stuff. That is my plan. It is just me and him puttering

around this old house (forgive the grammer!) so I have plenty of time to work

with my herbs and all. That is if my three cats (who actually own things around

here...we are just big walking playtoys that give out food to them) will let me.

Can't get up from a seat anytime around here. Moment you get up and turn

around, one of them has stolen your chair and Heaven help anyone who moves him

or her. Well, better end this. I am so glad to know all of you and hopefully

my computer will keep on working so I can post more. Please forgive this long

post ...
