Guest guest
on the unrefined virgin cocounut oil - I heard that coconut oil was VERY good to eat - even so much that some people that were on low carb diet who ate 1tsp of the oil, helped them lose more weight! I have a solid fractionated unrefined virgin coconut oil - would that be the same thing? I melted a tsp .. and boy is that greasy :-) AND I'm so glad to know that just applying the oil to my face is NOT drying - but that when putting it into soap may be drying!! I was putting it on my face also! Thanks to Chris for that clarification I think :-) Blessings, Pam TLC Naturally - Pure Essential Oils & Soaps http://www.tlcnaturally.com E Web Express - Design & Hosting Service http://www.ewebexpress.com Message: 12 Tue, 7 Dec 2004 16:10:16 -0500 " Neysa Dormish " <neysa Re: Coconut (Was RE: Frankincense update) That SHOULD have said " I am especially fond of the unrefined virgin coconut oil. Guest guest
Hi Pam and all, The virgin coconut oil is excellent to use internally. It supports normal thyroid function and thus increases energy and helps with weight loss. And, it has many other benefits too. A Google search will provide numerous informative articles. I melt 1 tbls. into a cup of tea (usually Dong Quai) and add a few drops of stevia. It tastes good and feels very nurturing. It's important to start with a small amount used internally as it has a detox affect on the body. I know others who use 4 tlbs. a day for weight loss and thyroid issues. I'm getting results with 1 tbls. a day. Enjoy, Michelle http://www.holisticmenopause.com
