Guest guest
Hi Pam, A quick note to you about the coconut thing ... coconut OIL is NOT drying to skin .. coconut oil SOAP IS drying to the skin ... See, coconut oil itself, in its plain ol' oil form, is a very good moisturizer. I am especially from of the unrefined virgin coconut oil. When it is saponified and made into soap that is another story, and here is why - the coconut oil soap cleans SO effectively and is so good at degreasing that it cleans almost too effectively for the purpose of skin cleaning (it degreases us too well , unless it is blended with other oils and the soap is superfatted, etc ... so don't worry about coconut oil itself drying out your skin *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Pam [pam] <snipped> .... I have since put the frank in a mixture of jojoba oil and coconut oil - although now I find out from my soap group that coconut oil can be drying to the skin, so will have to go back to the sink for this one <snipped>
Guest guest
Yeah! Thank you for that information Chris. I'm loving the affects of my organic, extra virgin coconut oil on my face and sure didn't want to think it was drying. Appreciate the info.
