Frankincense update

appreciated the info on the Frankincense - and have since quit

using it neat on my cheeks - mainly because it did really dry out

my skin on the areas where it was applied - and also seemed to

almost be a 'burn' - as part of the skin is a bit red - however

the spots ARE lighter and I'm hoping that when the new skin comes

in, it will not be brown ;-) .... I have since put the frank in a

mixture of jojoba oil and coconut oil - although now I find out

from my soap group that coconut oil can be drying to the skin, so

will have to go back to the sink for this one - I had used

coconut oil as 1/2 cup and jojoba as 1/4 - so I may just use the

jojoba oil straight with added frank - maybe 20 drops.

again, it's been an interesting experiment - glad I didn't really

burn my face - oh yeah - also have been putting it on my

forearms - no reaction on that part of my body (guess its

tougher) and the spots have gotten lighter - I will continue to

put it neat on that area - so far it has been a little over a

month.

Blessings,

Pam

Hi Pam,

Just curious about the info you received re: coconut oil drying the

skin. Could you please tell me more about this?

I've been using organic extra virgin coconut oil topically on my

face for about a month. My mature, sun damaged skin looks and feels

SO much better. I've used many things over the years, but just

before this used organic jojoba oil. I feel the results with coconut

are better. But, if in the long run it's going to work against me, I

sure want to know! Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
