cocoa ab. in lip balm

I asked this question, also, a while back. Not cocoa, specifically, but any

eo in lip balm. I was concerned about ingestion. The consensus seemed to

be that any that might be ingested would be such a tiny amount as to not be

significant.

Thanks Christy and all who responded.

Warmest Regards,

You need to be real careful about what you use in lip balm as the

lips are highly reactive to irritating substances. Many es. oils can

be used but only tiny volumes. For example to use cinnamon bark

would be crazy. It's also playing with fire using any aromatics on

which there is no safety data.

<snip>

My newest addition are " chocolate lip sheers " . These are made with

unrefined cocoa butter and cocoa absolute. Smell just like chocolate and

people love them.

*I make something similar to this but I add chocolate flavor to it and tell them

it is something to curb there chocolate craving without the calories. Sometimes

just the smell will help with the craving.
