Guest guest
Hi Sandra, > I think that our cleanliness and lifestyle of eating, etc. has alot > to do with it, No question about that. But it was also a matter of not ever having been exposed to Small Pox .. or vaccinations. Relatively speaking, the American Indians of the Northwest and Southwest were far more hygenic than the American trappers and traders and such .. but they had no immunity to certain diseases so exposure to Small Pox almost eliminated total tribal groups. > it was the soldiers dying, till the end of the war when things got so bad for the folks at home too. True it is .. during the Civil War folks in the South didn't have a great lifestyle for sure. For that matter, neither did those who lived in the ghettos of the North. > Butch it is very unusual for us to have different opinions I don't think we do here .. either. ;-) > but I wouldn`t trust anything the UN has to say not one cotton pickin word. {:> Nor I .. not a word. The difference is that this UN Medical Team was not a true UN instrumentality .. they were more like Doctors Without Borders .. medical personnel contracted by the UN to perform certain functions in Somalia .. and a dedicated bunch they were. > Sandra Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch
