Guest guest
Anyone wish to share a good salt scrub(glow) recipe? All the ones that I've tried are way to oily. Guest guest
Hiya Sandi, Key is to start with about 1 part salt to 1/2 part oil and then gradually add the additional oil - by the spoonful - until you get it to a nice consistency. Also I add a bit of liquid soap to my salt scrubs (but not my sugar scrubs cause I leave them without soap and sweet for the " romantic couples " <grinz> . I know that fellow list mate Nikie Brown has discovered a trick for making salt scrubs that don't leave a slick tub, but I don't know if she is willing to share her secret *Smile* Chris (list mom) Currently The Most Popular Holiday Gift Items At A Little Ol'Factory: Mucha Mocha & Mentha Mocha Sugar Scrubs, Chocolate Lip Balm Making Kit Perfume Pendants, Perfume Bottles, Fill It Yourself Gift Baskets, Anything Rose http://www.alittleolfactory.com Sandi Lundberg [injoy] Anyone wish to share a good salt scrub(glow) recipe? Guest guest
Hi Sandi I use unrefined shea butter which I 'cream' with the back of a spoon to a smooth paste. I add unrefined sugar and scrub! It is pretty greasy but it also soaks in and washes off. How about a less oily oil (!) like jojoba? PS: I prefer sugar to salt because I find salt drying to the skin. I dont have a scrub recipe but do have a suggestion. Some Polysorbate 80 or a few pinches of silica will fix that oiliness. Neysa
